Re: Should I take supplemental digestive enzymes?

I'm not familiar with that brand, but virtually everyone could benefit from digestive enzymes...unless they are on a raw food diet in which case they aren't needed. Most people are deficient in digestive enzymes as a result of cooked foods, poor diets, stress, etc...this means that your digestive system has to work harder to break down food...expending more energy...and digestion is less efficient...so you don't get all the nutrients and energy from foods. The food that is not completely digested can also aggravate many digestive disorders and contributes to food allergies and sensitivities. Short-term...digestive enzymes improve digestion, and long-term...they can boost your energy levels.

Are you sure that you are lactose intolerant and not allergic to dairy?...they are often confused, but two very different problems. If lactose intolerant you are missing the enzyme to digest lacose and lactaid should take care of the problem...but it won't help if you're allergic to dairy.
