Day 46 - Ended fast today

Hello.

Well, I finally ended my fast today. For the last 5 days or so I've been getting stomach cramps, some diarrhea each day, faint and tired, and so on. I felt really really bad. I was hoping it was detox or a stomach bug or my body healing my incredibly slow moving bowels, and perhaps it was, but an hour ago I decided to end my fast as something just didn't feel right. I'd gone long enough.

Most of my fast has been uneventful. Until the last 5 days or so, I had no bad symptoms or anything, just less energy than normal.

I ended my fast with half an orange. At first I was reluctant as I still didn't feel like eating, but I changed my mind when it actually got into my mouth and tasted pretty delicious. I nearly ate the other half too but reminded myself that it was my mind that wanted it and my stomach felt completely full, so I put it in the fridge.

For the next 7 days or so I'm going to be eating probably just watery fruit, and I guess not much of it either. My stomach feels pretty tender, and as my fast was long I'm going to take it very slowly and gently. Nothing else is going inside today other than the other half of that orange this evening.

Hopefully I ended it soon enough and haven't done myself any damage. I did immediately feel much better in my head after the half an orange, but my stomach doesn't feel 100%.

Unfortunately I never fasted to completion as my tongue was still incredibly coated and my skin problems never went away, but I can continue some other time. I remember that Chris wrote in reply to my very first post here that he didn't notice any benefits to his first fast until after the fast was over and he was eating again. I hope that happens in my case too.
