Re: post-fast notes
Hi plasticat,
there is no doubt that a persons genes determine who & what they are, whether it is the colour of your eyes, hair, height and so on; but what in many cases is explained away as genetic, and therefore untreatable, isn't necessarily the case at all.
What we are referring to here is the probability of a genetic disorder or inherited predisposition to a disease, that is endemic within previous generations of your family history. I do not subscribe to this view.
A case in point here is "Pottengers Cats", where 2 separate groups of these animals were fed contrasting diets: one raw and natural, and the other cooked, processed and devitalized, which thru 8 generations led to chronic disease in the latter group but robust health in the former.
What can so easily be explained away as genetic is really only the result of following the same or similar diet from generation to generation, or even within the same generation still living.
I discovered many years ago that I do have a (genetic!!) predisposition towards nervous problems and depression; I see the evidence of it within my own immediate family, but also not so immediate such as cousins, aunts and so on. This was very enlightening.
Refusing to accept my lot, and a lifetime of depressional illness I sought a solution, and within a comparatively short time-frame cured my own severe
Depression via fasting and Natural Hygiene, as an offshoot & by-product to my cure from Leukemia via the same means.
Fasting is Natures first-choice remedy for any disease and illness, and by following a lifestyle thereafter in accord with our physiological & biological needs, then dis-ease can be eradicated completely, leading to a happy & much more wholesome and fulfilling life.
