IMO one should use salt daily, the problems that occur with high blood pressure mostly relate back to water retension. We know from bodybuilders and their pre-competition salt loading protocols that the "water retention" part only lasts 5 days, and starts to diminish after 3 days in those with healthy kidneys.
In short, going from 0 to 2 tsps during a health crisis may be detrimental and therefore regular salt intake is a far better model.
