Re: Nice new pic-off topic
hi Bling :)
yes, i took about two weeks off from hot yoga (the last week of my fast and the first week of re-feeding) because i truly was feeling too weak to do it at that point, and i thought the best thing for my body was as much rest as possible. but i got right back into it and i'm currently going about five times a week. i absolutely love it :) i used to jog, but since getting into the hot yoga, i've given up jogging for good. yoga is so more balancing, mentally and physically. i'm glad to hear that you're doing it too!
i do remember about your leg length issues and i certainly hope the yoga helps! and you're right about how it helps you make better food choices. i'm especially careful about what i eat before i go to class because if you are feeling heavy and burdened down with too much food, then you feel very sluggish and not as flexible. i get so much more out of it if i come to class feeling light and energized.
i hope you free yourself of the hypothyroidism... i know there are quite a few poses that help with that... my teachers always mention it when a pose helps with the thyroid. they tend to be the poses where your chin is "choked" into your throat... do you know what i mean? often it's the forward bending poses where you have to tuck your chin into your chest.
anyway, thanks for your kind words about me being a good single mom. i appreciate it!
your friend,
bella lucia
