Hi Motherwary, oh dear, he definitely need to sort himself out, I have met Sugar addicts before, it's amazing what foods they will buy to get their Sugar fix (without realizing there is Sugar in them) even if they do make an effort to give it up. Yes, why not go for completion, I agree.

Regarding BMI, this calculation is an ATTEMPT to find a person's correct weight from their height, but it is just an average and does not take into account frame size and other factors such as age and how athletic they are. The real thing that matters is percentage fat, and this can be measured by a doctor using a callipers, or these days via body composition scales that measure fat, water muscle etc (discussed less than a week ago with bella lucia - my scale is due to be delivered next week). Roughly 20-25 is considered "normal" in the West, 25+ is overweight, 30+ is obese. I was 42 before my first fast, I am now around 30, I intend to get to BMI 21. As you appear quite small framed from your photo, your ideal weight may be a bit less than what BMI 20 is for your height. The best way to tell is measure the fat.

Good luck with your fast
