Finally!! Something I can answer!!
We are doing this with our 2 year old boy. He is just 30# and takes one pill each morning. So far what hasn't worked is putting it in anything, he searches it out and chews it. Yuck. Today I opened up the pill, emptied it into the spoon with applesauce and gave it to him, and kept on shovelling the applesauce in. Initially he spit it all out, which I refed to him (yuck) and told him to keep on swallowing--and that did it.
I will say that we haven't seen anything, but he's also potty-training, and I"m not looking!
