Not directly, but glutathione is very necessary for immune function and detox function... so if you are sick, then it would be considered as a potentially valuable supplement. But there will be a problem if taking it orally, in that GSH is a tri-peptide meaning there are 3 amino acids that make up this unique peptide. If taking in a pill form, the stomach acids will pull apart the peptide bonds, forcing the body to "reconnect" the amino acid links.

Studies have shown that it is ineffective when taken orally. Look at a product called Readisorb, the GSH is locked in a phospholipid insuring its delivery to the cells. Start with low dosages and work up.
