You are not alone! I was asking a related question below : do people with candida-leaky gut tolerate probiotics and if yes, which ones? It seems that most of these people do not tolerate probiotics, with the possible exception of totally natural probiotics like raw (lacto fermented) sauerkraut and other fermented veggies.
one of the problem that candida-leaky gut people experience is a depletion of good bacteria, in particular acidophilus types in my case, replaced by candida and parasites in the gut.
If tests show a total absence of most good bacteria, and if you don't get those from probiotics sups or probiotics foods, I can't see how they could repopulate--they have to come from somewhere.
