There are a lot of opinions about enemas while water fasting. Some recommend daily enemas, while others say to avoid them all together. Never do a salt water flush when water fasting. It might be OK during the first three days, but after the body goes into ketosis and your chemistry is slightly altered salt water flushes could cause problems. A simple saline enema might help you when you feel especially nauseous or weak from a build up of toxins. Flushing out the colon can bring fast relief, but do not overdo it. From my experience, I would suggest you do an enema on the third day of your fast to clean out the colon of the last bit of previous meals and waste, then not do enemas more often than every three days and only as needed. The real miracle of fasting is to allow the body complete rest so it can deal with imbalances and begin to heal itself. Try to never add any extra minerals, vitamins, herbs or medicines while water only fasting. Drink as much water as you feel you need, but do not chug down huge amounts of water. Too much water can flush out vital electrolytes and beneficial bacteria, and put stress on the kidneys. Sip water when you feel thirsty throughout the day and everything should be fine. Good luck on your fast.
