Re: Stomach HCL

Yes. In my own [not so unique case} there is a fluke {F. Hepatica, parasite} securely embedded in tissue just below the stomach. It is protected by mucus, and special surface antigens.

Anyway, the thing somehow has the power to interfere with hormones regulating stomach acid, and therefore altering the PH of the entire bowel system--but not by much.

Proof of low stomach acid is; increased gram negative enteric bacteria. This will cause occasional diarrhea, mushy or loose stools, undigested food and many times itchy anus.
This is the short list, of course.

Many of us see strings, and fleshy bits floating in toilet. This is mucus in most cases, suggesting there is something irritating the bowels. Infection would be uglier and would smell really bad.
High yeast content would be easy to grow in the right medium, so diagnostics should not be complicated for candida infections or over-growth situations.

What am I trying to say here? parasites are the more likely cause of "candida" type symptoms. In a nutshell. Shroom
