is distilled water vastly better than reverse-osmosis? or are the differences minimal? i've decided to rent a water cooler and i'm in the process of deciding what kind of water to buy. should i not even consider spring water? and in terms of temperature, i prefer my water at room temperature. is that the most optimal?
and just a comment about the electrolyte thing... i totally agree with you that doctors are obsessed with the electrolyte levels, and they use it to scare patients out of fasting. that's what happened in my case, anyway. i expressed my interest in fasting a while back to my doctor, who i thought would be helpful because he calls himself a holistic healer/naturopath. but instead of helping me, he told me that fasting was incredibly dangerous because it messes with your electrolyte levels, and that he would never recommend fasting unless it was done with a protein drink supplement. needless to say, i have since lost faith in that doctor and i don't see him anymore!
