I would like to concoct a healthy alternative to a “sports drink” to keep a healthy mineral balance while on a desert trip where its easy to become dehydrated. I thought maybe some variation of the “Moreless Drink” would work well, so I thought I’d ask here. The commercial drinks contain basically water, sugar, salt, and a lot of artificial junk. What is an “electrolyte” anyway? Salt? Would water, lemon juice, blackstrap molasses, Himalayan salt do the trick? Should it contain potassium? Calcium? I’d like to be easy to make, portable, and taste “not awful”. Thanks for any ideas you might have. Miakoda
