Re: Hi-Res Before and After Melatonin Pics
oh, i'm soooo happy for you! how long have you had EC now?
you know, i've had the same results as you off & on, but because i'm actually allergic to many chemicals (including the
preservatives in anti-inflammatory creams, all antibacterials, fragrances, etc. ad naseum!) the results don't last for me. the longest my lips have felt healthy & normal is about 1.5 months, and then something--i don't know what--irritates it again, and i'm back to having accordion, lemon-wrinkled lips that ooze, weep & crack. (the vertical lines on my lips are now so Deep & Horrendous because of EC, that my lips look 3x my age!) it seems my body becomes desensitized to the "helpful" components, but then afterwards, i simply develop an allergy to the very stuff that once alleviated my skin problems. sigh... (please see my response to miss morningdove from a few days ago.)
after seeing 5 skin specialists & an immunologist (who told me you can't reset your immune system back to its pre-allergic, pre-chronic inflammation stage), plus getting an allergy patch test (i've developed an allergy to Too Many chemicals, so i have to be wary of what i put on my lips), i'm now getting a full physical exam next month, and i'm anxious to get the reports. i suspect i have some sort of hormonal imbalance. i hope it can be corrected. in the meantime, i will try to use some sort of oxygen therapy, but not silver oxide, as that is simply an antibacterial solution. (plus, it will turn your lips blue!) oh, and i've got 64643's back as well. ;-)
please keep us posted on how long this lasts for you, amigo, and keep us informed of all your personal experiments--they're Sooo helpful!
thanks for sharing all your research & info. i can't wait to celebrate once we've figured out a successful remedy to EC.
