Re: how often do you fast?

Hello Atomic-Blonde,

with all due respect I think you are incorrect with the advice you have given to bella, and for the following reasons............

Firstly, I am not the only person who agrees with the No-Breakfast Plan, and didn't arrive at that way of eating by trial and error either. I think the book by Dr Edward Hooker Dewey entitled: "The No Breakfast Plan & The Fasting Cure" really says it all, as this was written thru his medical experiences with thousands of his patients, who all vastly improved their health following this protocol.

Secondly, food is required to replenish and nourish the human body AFTER the expenditure of physical energy and/or physical work done: a night of restful sleep for example does not expend very much if any energy, and therefore the body does not require sustenance to replenish any calories lost and/or nutrients.

Thirdly, it is not by accident, that Natural Hygienists over the years, have come to agree that the ONLY recommended breakfast (if any) after arising is fruit, which for the most part is a high-water-content food, and is already pre-digested before entering the stomach: it takes only 15 minutes or less to digest, and which is also the least taxing food on the human body in terms of energy-used, before it becomes energy to expend. This would be similar to NO breakfast, which will further aid the body in healing and cleansing and increasing energy levels.

Fourthly, digestion is the hardest work that the human body has to perform in terms of energy expenditure, and the extra time between arising and lunchtime can be used for resting the stomach and recuperating energy lost from the previous days activites.
As a result of this, many hygienists still believe in the No Breakfast Plan, which will give you more energy overall.
As an aside, it is only a fairly recent phenomenon to have the standard "three square meals a day", by your average Mainstream Nutritionist (otherwise you may faint at the roadside and even starve to death in the process type) as it was always the custom to have and need only ONE meal per day!!

There is also an old Roman Proverb that applies here "a full stomach doesn't like to think".....a heavy meal needs an incredible amount of energy to digest (especially in the wrong combinations) and therefore mental effort and concentration suffer enormously in the process.

It would also be nigh on impossible to feel energized immediately after eating 4 to 5 Iodine eggs, because it takes an enormous amount of time and energy to digest that food before it even begins to become energy to expend.
Children for example, will perform better at school if they have no breakfast, despite what the nutritionists will tell you: they are more alert, concentrate better, and learn more easily.

Before I discovered the No Breakfast Plan, a Hygienist told me to try it on my dog, which I did, and his health and energy levels went thru the roof.
The No Breakfast plan actually applies to anyone with a heartbeat.
Try it.
You could very well be amazed.
If anyone who does go without breakfast, experiences detox symptoms before lunchtime, then they are in need of a more extended fast to reduce their levels of toxemia.

"Eat whole foods, foods that come that way in nature."
Good advice, just make sure they are properly combined for the maximum efficiency of digestion and the minimum amount of putrefaction and fermentation..

Thank you.

Warm Regards

Chrisb1.
