a properly combined meal will take about one and a half hours to digest (fruit will take less than 10 to 15 minutes if properly combined) and it has been considered best not to eat again for an hour or two after that to rest the stomach.
Rice and salad, and then an hour later some nuts or fish would be considered too short a time-frame for the first meal to have digested properly for the second meal to be eaten I'm afraid.
