Re: Body detox or purge or something else?

hi #83873

sorry you are still experiencing problems during your refeeding. it doesn't seem fair after all your hard work! ;(

how many days are you into your refeeding now?

i'm sure chrisb1 & fonty will probably have an explanation for you. i can only tell you my experiences which were fairly similar to yours when i've broken my previous fasts.

your body is definitely still cleansing, since you are still adhering to the proper refeeding protocol. i can't explain your symptoms though - mine were fairly strange too. i actually found it quite difficult to eat anything much at all - i just had lots of juices, broths and salads - and steamed broccoli which helped a lot.

since it is maybe likely that you have electrolyte imbalances - given your history of hypokalemia - maybe you want to try a potassium broth (i tried it, it was yummy). this is a link to a recipe that someone posted for me a while back - and some info on superfoods:

also, you might want to try a glass of red wine. i know that sounds completely counter-intuitive (especially since you are have been feeling like you have had problems with your liver, from your previous posts) but this was originally suggested to me by an ayurvedic doctor. apparently the red wine will stimulate your liver into processing toxins. it certainly helped me when i was extremely nauseous and feeling sluggish...

i would also look into getting your juicer fixed pronto! and then have a green juice every day - i make mine with cucumber, celery, broccoli and spinach - and they are really good. diluted carrot juice is also excellent. this may help with your elimination problems?

sorry but that's all the advice i can offer! i hope someone else can give you some much better info...

good luck and i do hope you feel better soon

- lulu
