Re: refeeding & proteins

Hi L*u*l*u,
tempeh is a very good source of protein as it is made by a fermenting process of soy beans. However, regular soybeans that have not been though a fermentation process are not now considered to be a very healthy option, for reasons that escape me at the moment, but has been highlighted as unhealthy on Mercola.com and other natural health websites.
Introducing the cooked foods of lentils, sweet potato, eggs and other foods that are difficult to eat raw, will be absolutely fine later in your refeeding programme, even as once a day or every other day.

Unfortunately, any sweet fruit will not combine very well with a protein food.
Banana (sweet fruit) will therefore not combine very well with whey protein shakes made with lsa and almond milk, so best to leave them out and find a substitute if possible.

Coconut milk with your raw veggie broth is a good combination, as proteins combine very well them.

The important thing to bear in mind here is this: DO NOT OVEREAT. LESS IS BEST ACCORDING TO APPETITE.
In Fit For Life, Harvey & Marilyn Diamond devoted 4 whole pages to those three words in BLOCK CAPITALS: DO NOT OVEREAT, DO NOT OVEREAT, DO NOT OVEREAT.

I suppose they meant not to overeat then !!!!!

Regards

Chrisb1.
