Re: TO the Moderator and Isafireguy thanks, The Answer.
The body - mind mechanism is one phenomenon. They are not two. They are not separate. The body is the outward, gross, part of the mind. The mind is the inner, subtle, part of the body. It is better to write the name of the mechanism without using the hyphen in between. Calling it simply bodymind would be better.
Most of negativity that comes out is because it has become a deep-seated habit... it has been a form of unconscious learned behavior due to acceptance of an idea(s) that has been placed on the individual by some other(s) at some time in one's past. Those that express this have been repeatedly told and convinced by others they are not accepted for who they are... and for what they are. The idea(s) that relate to low self-esteem, lack of self-worth... inability to love and to be loved. That expression of negativity has been held in the bodymind mechanism for perhaps quite a long time. It is part of what makes up an individual's disease. Hence all diseases affect everyone differently, and all cures effect people differently as well. Treating only one aspect is only treating half of the mechanism.
Negative attacks are a reaction by those that have accepted such notions about themselves as being real. Their attacks are fundamentally a kind of unconscious revenge for the way they have been treated by others at some time in their past. These people depend on what others think about them to either feel bad or good. They base their attacks on others because of the same reasoning that others will also be affected in the same way as they are affected.
If one's well-being, happiness or sadness, is not dependent on what others think, then it is very easy to not have what others say about you affect you, positively or negatively. Happiness, joy and a feeling of well-being is not so much dependent on the other. It only really depends on what you think about yourself, what you know to be true about you. If one understands this then one is free of the criticism of what others say. One can easily see that what is said has nothing to do with you, and it has everything to do with how that person feels or thinks about himself.
It is all up to each of us to understand this. The more people that understand this, the more those that are negative will follow the rest of us into that understanding. This is different than trying to impose your will on others, which is usually met with resistance. Because, really, what lay behind all the words is that everyone is looking to love and to be loved. Love is really more contagious than any disease.
