Re: Day31WF: Blood Pressure Q and trying to decide when to end
Hello again #83873,
Long fasts are known to have much greater benefits than several shorter ones, although there are tremendous benefits in doing both, but I wouldn't say several fasts of 21 to 30 days each would be considered to be "short" by any means; the real definition of a short fast would be anywhere between 7 to 10 days.
Three fasts of 21 to 30 days will go all the way in achieving your goals. I was "cured" from Advanced Leukemia via two fasts of 25 days and then 30 days, so how much can you expect to achieve on 3 of these?
I would also never advise anyone to fast longer than 30 to 40 days without qualified supervision: all fasting supervisors offer the same impartial advice, as there are some risks and contraindications with going too long without nourishment.
THE most important thing to know and remember here is this: regardless of how long you fast, and for whatever reasons, the body is in a constant perpetual state of self-healing and self-repair: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days out of every year; fasting (properly conducted) will vastly accelerate this process until the end product is a body which is internally clean, and has a strong and powerful immune system.......resulting in total Immunity from disease, and that includes viral infections, rabies, influenza and so on. This is the absolute truth that I have been privileged to witness first hand and wish to share with anyone who is willing to listen.
Supplements of the right kind are indeed beneficial but should be left to the non-fasting state. If you do add any supplements while fasting then you will interrupt the true fasting state of ketosis and autolysis, so it is not at all recommended.
Your goals will be met with the three or less fasts of 21 to 30 days, but it is absolutely VITAL that your refeeding is of the highest quality food, properly combined, and eating only in accord with appetite/hunger. Elimination & healing will continue during this period, if you adhere to this regimen. In addition, ALL of the benefits of a fast can be undone unless you do (Shelton).
It is also well established, that the return of natural hunger can easily occur in less than 7 days, if your body has accomplished its self-healing, repair and cleansing, if that is all that is required to achieve it.
Regards
Chris
