Re: Tough time this morning after 2 week break.

Hello Kas,

One of the indicators you can use to roughly determine the strength of your solution is to look at the color of it.

Here is a look at 4 different concentrations. Please excuse the background. I was shooting under mixed lighting sources. I adjusted the contrast of the picture so that the colors of the liquid matched what I was seeing.

Please note that I am using water to dilute the solution. If you use juice, your colors will vary.

Here is the set up.

All glasses have 100 ml of solution in them.

The left glass has a free ClO2 concentration of 100 PPM.
The top middle glass has a free ClO2 concentration of 10 PPM.
The right glass has a free ClO2 concentration of 5 PPM.
Finally the bottom middle glass has a free ClO2 concentration of 1 PPM.

As you can see, the 1 PPM solution looks like pure water.

Jim Humble in Chapter 3 of Breakthrough says

[quote Jim Humble]"By measuring the drops and the acetic acid we know that it creates about 3 mg of chlorine dioxide in approximately three minutes. Then when we add apple juice (or other juice without vitamin C) it dilutes the solution so that there is about 1 PPM of chlorine dioxide in the total apple juice mixture. The Miracle-Mineral-Supplement solution continues to generate chlorine dioxide, but now at a much slower rate."[end quote]

When you mix up your diluted solution, the target is to have a solution of around 1 PPM.

Here is the picture of the differing concentrations of ClO2.

Did your "diluted" solution look like the 1 PPM glass in the picture?

Remember, at higher concentrations, ClO2 can make you sick.
