The High Protein diets work upon the principle of , that the Protein requires much Oxygen to Burn and this requires much Carbohydrates as well!
So the Protein burns the extra Carbohydrates up, but at the expense of also using up your Extra Oxygen, thus making you more Acidic in the end, and this is the reason for one putting the weight back on so easy!
For they do not provide enough Alkaline Minerals in the diet!
What may help you the most, may be for you to learn to "NOT" eat any heavy meals of an evening 4-6 hours before bedtime!
No Proteins and or Starchy foods 4-6 hours before bedtime!
Learn to eat lite salads or vegatable soups, like Onion soup with carrots and such added, but no white potatoes!
And you may have some fruits, but not a lot right before bedtime!
Learn to eat your Proteins in the middle of the day, so you may have time to properly digest them, and this way you do not have undigested fatty acids etc which may store as Fat on your body!
