Not sure about the weevels luckily I've never had them. I use the ratio of 1/4 of a cup of almonds to one cup of water. I usually do 3/4 cup almonds to 3 cups water. I strain it twice, first time through a large sieve and second through a tea strainer. The pulp can be used as a scrub for your body. It's a bit messy but very cleansing.
I usually drink mine as a smoothie with bananas and strawberries and rarely add anything to it. There is an egg-nog type recipe though which is nice, you just add a teaspoon or two of vanilla essence and about 1/2 a teaspoon of nutmeg powder to a smoothie. Again though while refeeding just stick with the almond milk and fruit.
