Raw foods are raw foods. Organic are better but if you have a choice between getting a 'normal' lettuce and no lettuce at all, get the normal lettuce. The one thing I won't eat anymore while refeeding is pineapple because they put some chemical into it's fertilisers that actually inhibits it's ability to ripen properly. Because of this although they look ripe and even taste okay the fruit sugars never actually mature and are more like the stuff they put in our soft drinks than real fruit sugar. This kind of knowledge can put me off a single fruit but I have no choice but to eat regular raw foods as I can barely afford that. I assure you though that after living on nothing but those regular raw foods for the past six months I am not lacking in anything and am as healthy as I've ever been.
