Hi! Just a quickie for now, since I have to go but I will be back to write more to you tomorrow or the next day. I am at work and am in a particularly busy period, but I will get back to you either tomrrow or next day. Meanwhile, I just want to tell you that I can relate to just about everything you are saying. I am 47 (a "young" 47, lol!) but I was 15 when I began ED (it ended when I was about 29) and I agree with you that all of this, be it life, health, self esteem, etc. is indeed harder when you are in your teens, at least it was for me. So, it is not your imagination. That, coupled with the fact that you are not always in a position to eat what you want to due to parents making up the menus, not understaning about candida, etc. It is tough. You are brave and are to be admired for coming here and trying to get yourself well. It is wonderful that you are open about the ED. I think that helps a lot with recovery because we cannot deal with what we do not acknowledge. The fact that you are even aware that there is another way - a healthier way - of eating is a huge deal. Not very many teens (heck not very many people, period) get that, let alone try to make positive changes. Good for you. Ok, so I will re-read your post and see if I can offer any insights. Hang in there.
