quinoa, off topic
I've just found out the grain quinoa, is a complete protein, has all the animo acids in, which i thought only came from meat. Thought it might be of interest to those contemplating giving up meat like myself. Organic meat is so expensive and the thought of all those hormones in meat, is horrible. I'm trying to give up dairy, so its beans, lentils or nuts for protein, and grains. I will still eat fish and eggs occassionally, so not really a vegetarian, just not eating meat.
I used to be a vegetarian years ago, so just need to get back in the swing of it. Where can i get my b12 from? I remember i used to put yeast extract in my nut loaves but not sure if that is the best way.
I find it strange, that people that advocate meat, say vegetarians die earlier than meat eaters, and in the book i'm reading, they say the opposite, vegetarians live longer.
Thinking about this, some people are bad vegetarians and miss out on vital nutrients, so i suppose that is why it can go either way.
