One Day only fast- Plasticat

I have just received my copy of BRAGG The Miracle of Fasting book. I've been flicking through, and he recommends 24-36 hours,a week, especially for those who have never fasted before, as long as you eat very healthy in between, raw fruit and veg and their juices, etc.
He said it is accumulative. You can then progress to 3 or 4 day fasts, and so on. He and his daughter do a 36 hr fast once a week and a 7-10 day fast 4 times a year. I quite like his upbeat style, even though they look a bit cheesy on the cover.
So my one day fast was not a complete failure and with gap inbetween done 4 days this week.
I'm actually coming around to this idea again, i do find the idea of a long fast daunting at the moment, so i think i will do 36 hours a week, and when the time is right i'm sure it will lengthen to a week or two. I think i'm just miserable with my neck and back problems at the moment, so don't feel the time is right for a lengthy fast just yet. The main thing is i'm improving my diet all the time.
