Distilled or pure water is one of the "buffers" that Humble says in his book. Juice, without vitamin C added, is the other choice. He recommends cranberry; but I haven't seen any without vit C or high fructose corn syrup, which I also try to avoid. I think he also recommends pineapple juice.
