Re: 3 day fast: milk, grains & emotions
Lulu, update on this. I found a wheat and dairy free seeded loaf, 'Tesco's Free From Range.'
I will try it in a couple of days.
I bought some Almond milk in Healthfood Store, but looking at the packet, it has cane
Sugar in and wheat sugars in it, wheat maltrodextrine. I will make my own from now on.
I wish manufacturers would stop adding stuff. And when they sell stuff 'free from' they charge more. Well i suppose that is marketting for you.
I bought some chips for family, less 3% fat, but looking at packet more closely, after i got them home, found it has dextrose in. I know i shouldn't be buying them, but thought better than 'chip shop' chips, and when you have a fifteen year old, he is not going to live on fruit and veg. lol. The first few years of his life, he was brought up as a vegetarian, then we moved to Germany for a couple of years, now back in uk, and it all went pearshaped. They like their meat in Germany.
I was also told i had sensitivity to corn, but everything has got either wheat or corn(maize) in, or derivitive from them. The only way to avoid, is to eat food in their completely natural state, but not easy to do all the time. I am going on a cruise in a couple of months, how am i going to avoid wheat, dairy etc then??
I think that is why i give up in the end, it is so hard avoiding certain foods. Although i'm sure a longer fast will help to motivate me. Especially when i add stuff back in and see how it affects me.
