I'm sure your body would get accustomed to your routine and the fast would eventually be an interrupted though continuous one, if that makes sense. Providing you ate well in between and not so much that the glucose stayed in your blood the whole of your day's fasting then the body would eventually get used to the rhythm and take full advantage of it. We know that pregnant women often have 'trouble' with ketones, I fully believe this is the body responding to the greater need of the body to keep it toxin free and use the process of autolysis to create the new life within it. The pregnant body therefore learns to strike some balance between ketosis and ingestion by default. I'm sure intermittent fasting can work this way also.
