What you do with your time really depends on what interests you Gerald. The best thing to do I find is to have many things planned for all the differing circumstances you could come across during your fast. Walking is great if you have the energy but we don't always- sometimes we need to spend the day in bed and others we just can't sit still! So allow for all contingencies. Do you have a library near you? That might be somewhere to go instead of KFC.
There are few dangers with fasting, none really if you listen to your body. The main danger is that we fast beyond our bodies resources to maintain adequate function and that shouldn't happen if we are vigilant and refeed when we need to. The more common danger to be careful of is to break the fast properly. Any crisis suffered during a fast will be dealt with by the body in due time, except in cases where the damage is already too severe. And if the symptoms of a crisis are too much to bear so long as we break the fast correctly to lessen the symptoms there should be no danger in doing that either.
