Re: "Limitlessness"

(yes, gorgeous voices.) you know Sofia, I was thinking about you today, and what you and I each had said here and there about some of our experience and recognition (or not) of attachment (say to an incredible heightened state that feels like home, so to speak) and then that feeling of losing the magic, or the 'plane' - you know, the old cycle of clinging to what one loves, and *not wanting* what one doesn't, i.e. falling back into a state of duality, and missing the place of appreciation.

"Why should having something be so relevant? you don't need to have something to be able to love it, and it is loving it that makes you happy."

so right!--when you say it isn't about 'having'...I often practise just wandering through great beauty and feeling that I can have anything I desire, since it's all pure vibration (and vibration that I resonate with) and then, just offer all of it up, like a gift back to Creation. I used to do this often as a young woman when my son was little, and never felt any lack--just the reverse! Sometimes the city with it's lower vibration causes me to forget the realm of trees breathing and radiant colours beyond imagining is the actual true realm (that is present in any moment).

I feel sure Esther will start to speak more and more about the fact that much of what Abraham has said so far is simply to get people used to accessing the tools of mind, and seeing what's possible--thus they "see" when they believe, not the other way around, which is the old way. Then, there will be much more letting go of 'need' to create, or rather to physically 'have'...

well, I don't want to speak too much. Most of what I begin to see more clearly is better left unsaid.

I attended a play of my son's last night (which dynamically spoke to the place, the gap between 'this' and 'that') and one of the actors in his collective has a girlfriend who's currently on a ten-day Vipassana retreat. This is where I started thinking of you. I remembered my first teacher--a Burmese forest-dwelling monk who has now built pagodas on five continents as he intended,(he is ninety-four: his name is Sayadow U Thila Wunta) Anyway--the Vipassana connection:I was reading today some of S. Goenka's articles, including one on appreciation, which reconnected me to my heart's flame, and reminded me too that pagodas are about expressing appreciation; say, for for the Grace of no-this, no-that. No 'gap. There's another connection: i was building a pagoda under the direction of the Sayadow, and living in the woods, back when I was just pregnant with my son. I was ,reflecting today it's a good time for me (soon) to go on one of their ten-day retreats. The organization is sound, appropriately built on the principle of appreciation in action, and operates truly in the spirit of Buddha. It occurred to me this might also resonate with you.

I don't think there's anything scheduled in Norway right now, but there's a contact there--and courses everywhere. I was also going to send this link to a young friend who lives in Norway I know from writing workshops--so maybe I'll just send him here!

I'll come back with link

here it is:

and here's the one maybe to read first, for anyone
who wants to know what is "the art of living" and Vipassana?

best to you,
Alison

edit:
I was going to ask you, who is "Do"? and just read your message elsewhere, re: Mexico. My mother lives in Mexico, near Melaque! PS I just rememberd, Lake is probably still too young for you to go away for long.
