Just a guess... [Post finally finished!]

How's your mom's activity level?

If her lymph system is having to process even just a little too much food intake (or other toxins, or overloads), when it is already slow-moving, I think that might cause trouble.

Does she sit a lot? ...Drink enough water? How are her sleep patterns? Does she carry worries/regrets/frustrations? How are her bathroom functions? ...Her toxin levels?

Does she ever breathe using her full lung capacity? (Full and gentle exhalation, on the exertion part of a movement, works wonders. It's an old yoga trick.)

Any or several of these things, in combination, could affect a person, I think.

I also think that correction of any of this type of overload would require slow and careful improvement...perhaps with the assistance of a wise alternative healthcare provider.

A good kinesiologist could help, I believe, or some chiropractors, massage therapists, and so on...but I'd shop carefully for someone your mom has confidence in. Even then, I wouldn't stay with anyone who doesn't help her steadily. I find my body feels some warmth and well-being when I am doing the better things for me. Perhaps I'll feel some aches and pains, etc., as my body starts to re-use muscles that have grown weak, but I'll have periods of refreshment. I 'know' when I am doing the right things.

Gentleness is the key to recovery, I believe.

First, remove any outside source of pollution and alter the diet to take in smallish amounts of the best foods. Truly organic foods can help, and it doesn't hurt to skip a meal or two, once in a while, if she feels like it. Avoid radical changes (too much stress), but do go for only the finest of ingredients.

Then, gently change her movement and functioning patterns. Even a gradual change in posture can make a world of difference. (An 'Alexander Technique' practitioner can help. It will probably take at least a year to complete the program. I mention this because I have seen spectacular results in a person who was ready for surgery to fuse a section of her spine.)

In exercise, gradual and rhythmic movement changes are best. One article said that a walk down the driveway and back is plenty, at first, for some people. Easy does it.

(There is something special about keeping the 'core' muscles strong. And the immune system, of course.)

My 'Touch for Health' kinesiologist is a wonder. We really are 'energy' beings.

I've had great and unexpected results from just two footbaths with a 1% solution of Himalayan crystal salts.

But, only do this if her doctor does NOT advise against an ocean swim. The skin removes more toxins than the lungs, kidneys, and bowels, combined, I read.

Getting in and out of the tub may be stressful, so try the footbaths. And body washes. Physiologists know lots of helpful moves. Ask them about any awkwardness at home. An assessment of general posture can take as little as five minutes, and is well worth getting.

And there is an idea that sleeping on a bed inclined 4 to 8 inches up at the head, may improve urinary functions. (Think I am going to rig my bed with pillows, to see if this helps me.)

Sunshine is important, just a minute or two at a time at first. And outside air...especially under trees. Many homes have an opening door or window which captures sunlight for a few minutes per day.

And read...especially uplifting and simple stuff. Have a little of your best music every day. Search for the finest.

Read at http://www.humaworm.com Look especially at Hu-Mana-Tea.

White Tiger also has some great things to say about herbals. He is very smart and thoughtful.

Laughter helps, even if there is nothing funny going on. The body movements involved in laughter are wonderfully healing. Besides, the very word 'laughter' is cheering.

One man got himself kicked out of hospital because his laughter kept the others awake. You don't get kicked out of hospital unless you are mightily improved!

Remember the 'good old days', and smile.

Love heals.

My best,

Fledgling

Hm-m-m... I have just reminded myself of a few things!
