Re: Doctors / frustration

I truly understand your frustration. I have been self-diagnosed, have all the evidence, and have one of the best specialists in my country--{he's known around the globe for his work in parasitology} But, not even he has the answers. Cases like ours, are too complicated, and little is known about treatment. Plus treatment could be risky, even with Antibiotics . Chemotherapy could work for Lyme disease for example.
To expect a common GP to have a clue, is useless.
The people who have access to the solutions, are researchers and universities etc.
There are cures, but the people who decide to make them available will only do so, if they determine there is a large enough market to develop the drugs.
Few large companies will develop drugs for people who live in mud huts [AIDS epidemic in Africa for example].
So, the common doc, is just a working stiff like the rest of us, who I agree make too much money. And they cannot dedicate the weeks or months of work, it would take to understand part of the nature of our chronic illness.
I have been researching for 4-5 years now, and still have many unanswered questions. Things which have not even been discovered yet, are at the root of some chronic illnesses. Shroom
