Re: Uptight at the western doctor's, Perfect at the acupuncturists
hello pinkcat,
[[[I feel it's like a test that you have to pass, the doc's office reading]]]
yes pinkcat i believe it's precisely that each time, which in my case = cucumber = placebo-effect? = home monitor reading = correct reading = correct medical treatment? (now there's the rub) = self treatment = survival, lol.
well what it boils down to in the end is either passing incorrect information to the GP with my 'white coat syndrome' readings or forcing my 'home' readings upon him using cucumber, lol, so to obtain the 'correct' treatment that I require, mmmm.
i have to 'keep' the record straight by 'cheating' the doc (one has to laugh) for further tests as in blood and urine. i need to know those results are correct to help me to find additional self-treatment besides the medication that he prescribes me.
for instance his nurse took a blood-sugar test using a strip.she told me that my blood-sugar level was 9 (just short of diabetes 2). i was asked to return in two weeks to have another look, in case it changed, lol. i was given NO instructions to how to reduce that reading so it left me to determine how this was to be treated.
Dr. Computer was standing by, lol. i searched and found that i needed low glycemic foods to remedy the problem. i returned to the nurse and my blood-sugar reading fell from 9 back to 5 in those 2 weeks, and i was asked how i managed it?
so pinkcat maybe your dream is perhaps the mass of information/misinformation that we all have to glean individually to heal ourselves or perhaps to trust our health services or alternative medicine or perhaps a bit of each to survive, a jungle indeed.
i guess we must all become our own guinea-pigs and the health services to survive, tomi.
