Stress can do some weird things, but usually if you have physical pain there is a physical reason for it. Do you know anything about fasting? It's natures way of sorting out problems in our body, and in our minds for some of us too. For physical pain I would definitely reccommend trying at least a short fast and seeing how this effects that pain. It is far better than the hit-and-miss techniques used by doctors which more often than not cause problems elsewhere with their side effects.
