Hello Mia, I agree with what each is saying. See like it or not the fact is that chlorine dioxide damages the red blood cells, how, ok when we use an acid to activate NaClO2 using
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement protocol we have a residuale of chlouros acid, when that residuale gets to the gut and then the blood stream the chlorous acid takes up oxygen to produce more ClO2.
So contrary to
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement doe so much good, it can but not how they recomend it,
Chlorine dioxide produces by-products in the form of chlorites and chlorates.
Chlorites and chlorates both oxidize hemoglobin and chlorite is a hemolytic (red
blood cell) agent (Anderson et. al, 1982). The proposed Maximum Contaminant
Level (MCL) in the United States for chlorite is 1.0 mg/l, while the chlorate ion is
currently unregulated. Data from German water treatment plants indicates that the
average chlorite concentration is well under 200 g/l in Germany (Haberer, 1994).
Does it not ring home that
Miracle-Mineral-Supplement tell everyone that the suffering they go through with diahrria and nausia are just detoxing, but they are the listed problems with accute exposure to ClO2. And we have non medical people telling them it's O.K Well I'm sorry it's not.
Has the federal government made recommendations to protect human health?
The EPA has set a maximum contaminant level of 1 milligram of chlorite per liter (1 mg/L) and 0.8 mg/L for chlorine dioxide in drinking water. However, the concentration of both of these chemicals may be higher or lower in your drinking water.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has set a limit of 0.1 parts of chlorine dioxide or chlorite per million parts of air (0.1 ppm) in the workplace during an 8-hour shift, 40-hour workweek.
