Re: I thought I was the only one nuts enough to do this

The body survives on ketones which are created from the breakdown of fat cells during fasting. And you are right modern medicine does lead us to believe ketones are bad for us (idiots). Ketones are the miracle that allows our body to use it's own body for fuel and nutrients while no food is available or desired for any reason.

You can read a bit about ketosis here:

I personally don't agree with enemas but enough people swear by them that I just say it's a personal choice. My longest fast was thirty days. I had no discomfort with my bowels at all and have had bowel motions at all times during my many fasts and know for a fact there is no need for them.

Fasting is the closest thing to a cure-all that I have ever heard of. As for how long our bodies can survive on tumors that's just speculation, that they are reabsorbed is documented fact though, pumping chemo and radiation into cancer patients as a first option is just diabolical.

You mistook my body weight comparison. It's the opposite, so a parasite that is 1/30th the size of a human should die in one day compared to a human who could go 30 days without food. Of course there is food left in the intestines for the parasites to live off for a little while and allowing for the resilience of the little buggers and the ability of life to find a way to go on I'm sure they could last more than a day or two even though they're not even that big, but I doubt very much they'd survive past a week or so.

Andrew.
