Re: 47 days Fast ( 2 years old boy )
I saw a tv report about obese people waiting for gastric band operations, in the uk. It depended on where they lived if they got the op, some areas, refused them the op, as funds were limited and thought better spend elsewhere. They also had to be a certain weight to have the op, and some were actually eating more to qualify.
The op cost about £10,000 pounds, and some surgeons were saying, some of these people are costing health service £50,000 a year, because of the medication for all the illness their obseity was causing.
I was thinking, if everyone one of these people fasted, just think of all the money it would save the health service. Just think if the first thing doctors did in the case of any illness, was put people on a fast, it would save lives, money, it would be brilliant.
Unfortunately, the reality is, the pharmaceutical companies would make sure that never happened.
I suppose we just have to spread the word. I have a sister in law, who struggles with her weight, and just told me she has started popping diet pills. I haven't broached the subect of fasting with her yet, have to do mine first, but after that i will definately spread the word.
