I've heard that if you fast long enough your body can go off food altogether and you become a breatharian. Your body can actually digest the air it breathes and use that for energy and nutrients, converting the nitrogen content.
In this is true then the reports that you can actually gain weight while you are fasting if you keep doing it over many years and maintain a completely clean system. I've not heard of any fat breatharians but who knows? It may even be possible to overeat air.
