Re: Ketosis-water
Hi Chris,
On the subject of water, eat when you are hungry, drink when you are thirty etc.
Everyone bandies about this 'you have to drink 8-10 glasses of water a day,' and it really annoys me, just recycling the same old info.
I saw a programme once that tried to dispel myths, and they had identical twins, and for 3 months, one drank the required amount of water, the other, i suppose what she would normally drink. Anyway, there was no difference whatsoever, when they checked.
I've also heard the original advice was 8-10 glasses of fluid, not necessarily water, even tea and coffee, and although coffee is dehydrating, you still get some fluid from it, not ideal though i know.
The filter water i use is supposed to be more hydrating anyway, i use a wellness carafe.
So obviously on a waterfast you are only drinking water and also detoxing so i understand the necessity of drinking more water then, but i was told to drink 8-10 glasses on my herbal detox i'm doing at the moment, and i did for awhile, but it isn't me, i am a hot drinks person, and i find it difficult downing that much water. So how would i fare on a water only diet, only time will tell, but do you agree that generally you don't need to drink that much water unless you want to.
Thanks
