Whenever the concept of ACID environment pops up, I always wonder.

How much is ACIDIC? For instance, the acidity in stomach acids is what kills pathogens and keeps them in check. Also, the colon is very acidic in nature and that is proven to promote the good flora growth and a the same time keep the pathogens in check.

So how acid is an ACIDIC environment in which Candida thrives? I think there's still an unexplained contradiction going on everywhere you read.
