Exiting DAY THREE, entering DAY FOUR

Well I made it past the dreaded first three days. For me DAY ONE and DAY TWO were worse.. particularly day two. That being said, I have not yet been significantly uncomfortable or ill. Just tiredness, crankiness, some mild headaches not lasting too long, and hunger, primarily all in DAY ONE and DAY TWO.

I felt fantastic this morning (see other post).. I have a slight headache now and slight hunger but nothing too bad. I'm really getting sick of the taste of water... I really must say I am impressed by those going 10 days... or even some going longer. This determination tells me that once off the fast, healthy dieting should be no problem for those individuals.

I plan on going til DAY SEVEN as I had orginally promised. Despite some warnings I did chew three pieces of sugar-free gum to help with the rancid metallic taste (possibly the cause of the slight return of my hunger). I would only put them in my mouth for 15-20 seconds max though and spit it out (didnt want to ingest all 2g of Sugar alcohol).

Overall the weight loss has been dramatic (and water-laden of course). I was at 192.5 before starting. I just weighed in at 181.5. I really don't care about the weight so much though because its not as telling as far as fat loss. According to the tape however, I went from 37.5" to 36.25" in just 3 short days (and a cleansing day w/ fruit and veggies). 32" is my goal (after the fast of course and several weeks of healthy eating and excercise). 35" would be a nice start after a 7 day fast.

Does anybody else keep track of their waist? I feel like it would be more telling as far as fat loss. For example... after the fast I expect to gain some 5 pounds (maybe more) of fluid, but I'm hoping that the waist will remain the same.

I hope everybody else from the buddy-up thread a few days ago is still sticking to it and doing well - let me know!
