Thanks for all the info. It will take time to absorb everything and read links. It was interesting what the healer in central America said about getting back and neck corrected. I suffer from these problems, but do get treatment off and on.
I do know about the nutrition link and actually did high dose
Iodine 50mg for 4 months last year but ended up with vitiligo. On doing research at the time i think the
Iodine pushed Boron out of my system, which the body needs to make pigment apparently. I took Boron tabs for awhile after but still have the problem although it is only slight.
It put me off taking high dose anything. I took
Lugols but before i used some kelp.
That was why i was worried about minerals, as everyone is always stressing on the thyroid forums about getting plenty of minerals.
When you say 2-4 weeks, is that the fasting on fruit and veg or the rebuilding period?
That was interesting also about the hospital patients. I only developed thyroid problem while going through the menopause. I mistakenly also consumed lots of soya during that time which could have triggered it. I'd always had a good metabolism before, i was the sort who could eat most things and not put on much or if i did i could lose it easily. Then that changed and i couldn't lose whatever i did. My temps were really low and i had no energy and my eyebrows had lost the outer third of hair which is another sign/symptom, so i got own test done. I caught mine early so now i'm on Armour i can maintain a reasonable weight.
But that is not a cure, as i'm only supplying what my body should be making on its own. I also had adrenal problem, all connected, which i corrected with cortef, cortisol. Took a couple of months. I do believe all this is brought on by the menopause not actual illness.
Another think that worried me about doing just the
Water Fast was muscle loss. I have read some other posts about it, but i can't exercise that much, to build up afterwards, except walking, and have low muscle already. I have those scales that tell you, although not sure how accurate they are.
I suppose the fruit and veg fast might be better for me, although some raw veg is not advisable for hypos, ie broccoli. It would still get rid of cravings, and help identify allergies, sensitivities, think i'm dairy and wheat intolerant. As i've mentioned i get sinus and cattarh problems.
