Re: Can i do a fast?
Thanks Andrew
The thing is i've looked for a natropathic doctor in my area before,i'm in the uk btw and the nearest i got was a kineasilogist who i went to a few times but he has moved now. I don't think i'll find a fasting doctor in the uk. Maybe in London but would cost a lot. I even self treat my hypo, because uk docs would not prescribe Armour, natural thyroid med.
I do use filtered water at home, i suppose that does take some minerals out as well.
I'm not adverse to using it for the fasting time but would be too costly to use all the time anyway.
Did you see that info from Chris about hypothyroidism, i feel really encouraged now, earlier i was thinking perhaps this is not right for me and was going to just do a one day fast once a week.
The fact i was considering a fast, makes me think i should trust my instincts. I'm fed up with always feeling below par. So i am going to give it ago but be very careful and quit if i feel really unwell. I drink quite alot of caffeine, so need to wean of that first, otherwise i will feel awful. As for taking the Armour while fasting, i need to ask on the thyroid forums, to see if anyone else has fasted or if they think it will be a problem.
