Re: looking for advice on tea
If you settle in on tea, I would find one that is both beneficial and that you will enjoy.
I like VERY strong teas... I usually brew them stronger than recommended.
I personally like the following for everyday use:
Pu Erh
Dandelion root
Yerba Matte
I drink most every day, one cup of
Essiac for its cleansing properties.
I also have on hand and drink when the mood strikes or health needs dictate...
Cleavers
Nettles
Elderberry
Pau de Arco
And other herbal teas less frequently.
I use Bancha, Sencha and Nilgiri to make Kombucha
Sometimes I will have a cup of Nilgiri... usually when I am out of Yerba Matte and/or Pu Erh.
I also have Oolongs for Oriental tea ceremonies... but do not much care for them (IMO there are a few good Oolongs) outside the tea ceremony ritual.
Individual tastes dictate... if you have a good tea shop in your area, you may want to visit it and ask if you can sample teas to find your "taste" and go from there. I try to purchase only organic.
Have fun...
