It sounds like you are on a yo yo dieting path. Fasting is ok for most healthy people if they do it under 10 days. Yet if you don't change your eating patterns you will put all the weight back on. Most weight you lose anyway on fasting is water weight. Your metabolism will slow down in a fast because it's in famine mode. You are better just eating healthier and working out to lose those minor pounds you are talking about. I can see if someone wanted to lose like 50 pounds.
