If the foods are picked too green in season it's just as bad. As far as eating foods out of season, I thought that the reason you should eat foods in season is so that you get more potassium during the summer to keep cool and more sodium during the winter to keep you warm. That would have probably have made a difference when people didn't have heated or air conditioned homes,workplaces, all indoor places, cars, transportation, like today. When you think about it, the temperature when you stay at home or indoors which is probably 90% of the time except for the people that work outside, is always the same year round. So, everything now is blurred, since the temperature you are exposed to is the same most of the time and it's not that clearcut anymore because we are not exposed to the heat or cold anymore like people did once or do in some parts of the world where they don't have indoor air conditioning or heating.
