The longest Water Fast I have completed was 11 days. I have done this a few times and each time around day 8 I exhibit signs of electrolyte (specifically potassium) deficiency. I read a blog by "catyrpel" who water fasted for 92 days. She started adding the RDA of potassium, iodine, and magnesium to her water once she hit 60 days.
I have purchased each of these items, and would like to try them. I want to water fast. I tend to be an all or nothing kind of person, so Water Fasting greatly appeals to me for weight loss. However, I want to truly be fasting. If I am adding the afore mentioned items to my water, in order to replace lost electrolytes, am I still fasting?
