DIY Powdered Greens

I've always found those green powders a bit too expensive to my liking, but agree that more greens should be taken in.

So I plan on making my own.

I built a dehydrator, comparable to those $500 multi-tray Excaliber dehydrators, but mine cost around $10 to build - the cost of wood and a couple of light bulbs:)

It took about an afternoon to build.

So right now I have some kale in there and tomorrow will put some spinach. After it's dried I'll powder it in the blender.

Here is the link for details on how to make your own dehydrator too.

I built mine just like that one, with 3 trays, but one could easily modify the design and make it wider and have twice as much trays. You could even put a light dimmer switch to control the intensity of the light bulbs, and thus the internal dehydrting temperature. I have a thermometor in there and at sits nicely around 95F.
